The Hintonburg Community Association is excited to announce the return of ArtsPark 2022 along with the Friends of Parkdale Market, Ottawa Markets, and the Wellington West BIA!

Join us for an artist and local crafter market, musical performances on the Tooth and Nail Mainstage, family activities, the Happening Art Throwdown, Flava Factory, food vendors, and much more!

FULL-DAY SCHEDULE:

Crafters and art vendors: 10 am – 4 pm
Free family activities and workshops: 10 am – 4 pm
Tooth and Nail Beer Garden: 12-10 pm
Community stage performances: 10 am – 6 pm
Featured mainstage performances: 6 pm – 10 pm

THE HAPPENING ART THROW DOWN

Nine participants will compete at the Happening Art Throw Down! Anything goes — painting, sketching, assembling, printing, sculpting — highlighting the diversity within the visual arts community in the city.

There will be two rounds: three winners will be chosen by ballot by YOU the audience after the first round to advance to the final round. Each piece will be sold live via an auction with 100% of the proceeds going to the artists! Be there to watch how it all goes down! 5 pm on the Tooth and Nail mainstage in Parkdale Park.


CREATIVE WORKSHOPS FOR ALL AGES

Brazilian Carnival
MASC artist Luciano Porto creates a festive Brazilian Carnival for all ages! The fun starts on Hamilton Avenue and ends with a parade through the park! 10 am-noon on Hamilton Ave. N., look for the bright orange tents!

3D Printing and Robotics Demonstrations 
Robots! Science experiments! Elaborate 3D printing! Stimulate your creativity with these short, interactive activities…presented by the Univeristy of Ottawa. 11 am-3 pm in Parkdale Park.

Urban Art Collective Button Making 
Join the Urban Art Collective to Create your very own Art Button for FREE! Stop by the UAC Kid’s Club Design
Your-Own-Button Station to Create Cool Art and then Learn How a Pin-Back Button is Made. 1-4 pm in Parkdale Park.

Lights, camera, create!
MASC artist Tina Le Moine and Hintonburg’s Brenda Dunn (artinjest) are going to help you create and play with cutouts, sketches, and doodles while documenting a story designed by the audience. The action starts at 12:30 pm on Hamilton Ave. N., look for the bright orange tents!


MORE FAMILY ACTIVITIES!

Bring the kids to play from 10 am – 4 pm! There will be music, GIANT games (Jenga, Connect 4, blocks), Henna Tattoos, Art workshops and demos (see above), roaming puppets, and the Station 11 Fire Truck will be on-site from 11 am-noon!

PLUS Merry Dairy will be dishing out their famous soft serve all day long!
