Do you have high egg-spectations for breakfast?

When it comes to having your eggs, which ever way you’d like them- be it over easy or just an easy choice of WHERE to get your morning feast on, there’s no shortage of selection in  Wellington West!

(In fact, with so many eggs-ellent establishments in the ‘hood, you could almost eat at a different place every day of the week if your cholesterol and pocket book are ok with it!)

If you’re not in the mood for cooking first thing in the morning, no problem! Here are some classic neighbourhood faves where you can get just good old fashion eggs and bacon (and more!) to get your day started:

 John’s Diner is a family owned restaurant that has been around for literally generations. They have all the eggs and bacon you could ever want and get this, breakfast dishes are served ALL DAY.

Fil’s Diner is like stepping back in time. Cute 50’s decor, checkered floors and vinyl booths make you feel like the cast of Grease will come walking in the door at any moment. Get delicious eggs, pancakes and omelettes right up until 3pm!

The Carleton Tavern is a neighbourhood veteran, who’s been in the area for over 80 years! Sammy’s Country Breakfast is served until 2pm, so maybe start with brunch and finish up with a beer on the patio.

Ottawa Bagel Shop & Deli makes more than delcious hand-rolled Montreal-Style bagels! They also make their own cream cheeses! With so many flavours to choose from, you might have to spend every brunch here just to try them all!

If you’re prefer something a little fancier with specialty choices, such as eggs benny done-more-ways-than-one (but have friends or family members who aren’t as fussy), these establishments offer both:
