About Max’s Shoe Repair

Max's Footwear Boutique & Cobbler is run as a family effort by myself, Max, my wife, Sonia, and my children, Kishan and Nikita (Not to mention that our two dogs, Chiko and Suki, also come to visit from time to time). I was born in Nairobi, Kenya and moved to England when I was a young child. My father taught me the skill of repairing shoes when I was 16 years old. Back then, there were no machines, so everything had to be done by hand - which still comes in handy today :) My family and I emigrated to Canada in 2000 and have never looked back. We're so happy to call Ottawa our home and we LOVE it here (.....yes, even the -40 degrees winter days!). We all started the adventure of our boutique in the hopes of bringing a personal touch to the cobbler service and to also bring this city some unique and special footwear :) So, hopefully, you will love visiting out little boutique, even, if its just to say hi!
