WWBIA Cooperative Marketing Fund

The WWBIA Cooperative Marketing Fund is a project funding initiative available to BIA member merchants. Launched by the Wellington West BIA earlier this year, the Cooperative Marketing Fund encourages member merchants to work together with other BIA member businesses to create, promote, and run cooperative marketing “events”.

What projects are eligible for funding? Sidewalk sales, artistic performances, business-related social events & networking mixers, charity fundraisers and more!

What are the terms for participating? At least two member merchants of the Wellington West BIA must participate as a group to be eligible for funding. The proposed marketing event must be open to the general public free of charge.

What does the Cooperative Marketing Fund offer BIA member merchants? Members can receive up to 50% of eligible expenses covered by the Cooperative Marketing Fund. Project funding is based on how many member merchants are involved in the project. Along with funding, the Wellington West BIA will advertise member merchant projects through its digital channels (social media, website and email communications), and offer consultation and support. It can also lend overhead tents, chairs, sound equipment and other supplies based on demand.
