Enriched Bread Artists Open Studio

The resident artists of the Enriched Bread Studio at 951 Gladstone Avenue will be welcoming the public this month for their 27th annual, open studio exhibition, from October 18th-20th & 26th-27th.

The EBA studio is located in an industrial building just west of the O-Train tracks that originally served as a bread factory in the early part of the 20th century. The building transitioned into a printing house, clothing manufacturer, squat house and was eventually purchased in a state of total disrepair in 1992 by a group of ambitious young artists.

Today EBA is the biggest artist studio co-op building in the Ottawa region. Artists in the collective show their work locally, nationally and internationally. For the Ottawa community, EBA artists present an annual studio open house every October.

Housing 22 artists working in diverse media, including painting, drawing, photography, textiles, sculpture, digital and mixed media, Enriched Bread Artists is an artistic laboratory dedicated to the promotion of the arts, those who create it, and the benefits that the arts bring to all communities, locally, nationally and internationally. Meet with the artists in their studios, enjoy the two-floor art exhibition and participate in special events during the exhibit. Feed your creative soul and support the artists in your neighbourhood.

The studio will be open 6pm to 9pm on October 18th, and 12pm to 6pm on every other day of the exhibition. Admission is free and open to art lovers everywhere.
