Book Launch and Poetry Reading at The Spaniel’s Tale – Patrick Connors
Join poets Patrick Connors, Frances Boyle, and Colin Morton for an evening of poetry to celebrate the launch of Patrick’s new collection, The Long Defeat.
Patrick Connor has been a mainstay of the poetry scene in Toronto for many years. His contribution and his commitment to the poetic life of the GTA and beyond is well known. Finally, The Other Life, his first collection of poems, establishes him as an original and distinctive poetic voice.
Frances Boyle’s previous books include the poetry collection This White Nest, Tower, and Seeking Shade, a short story collection which won first place for short fiction in the Miramichi Reader’s Very Best! Awards and was a finalist for the Danuta Gleed Award and a ReLit Award. Born and raised on the prairies, Frances lives in the historic Lindenlea area of Ottawa.
Colin Morton is an award winning poet whose previous works include The Cabbage of Paradise, Coastlines of Archipeligo, and The Hundred Cuts. Colin was born in Toronto and grew up in Alberta. He now lives in Ottawa.
Doors open at 6:30pm, event begins around 7pm. This is a free event, however, your RSVP is appreciated.
