Farewell to John Ferguson as Board Chair of the BIA
After a remarkable fourteen years of involvement with the Wellington West BIA, including ten years as a Board member and seven years as Chair of The Board, John Ferguson has decided it’s time to take a well earned retirement from his position with our organization. We want to extend our deepest and warmest thanks to John for his tireless efforts over the years towards making this community a better place.
Folks around the neighbourhood will know John well as the mustachioed owner/manager of the GTXpress on Wellington Street West in Hintonburg, a job he’s proudly held for more than 30 years.
John Ferguson joined the Board of the Wellington West BIA in January 2012. In that time, he’s served expertly as Beautification Committee Chair, Member of all three permanent committees, and finally as Board Chair.
“The Board has introduced me to many new working friendships and experiences that I would not have otherwise enjoyed,” said Ferguson. “I believe that Wellington West is a great place to live, to work and to enjoy. I look forward to many more new adventures in this one of a kind community.”
