“From our fresh pastas to our ‘heat ‘n eat’ meals, Parma Ravioli’s selection is unmatched anywhere in Ottawa,” says co-owner Richard Righi, who co-owns the shop with Giuliano and Carlo Zucconi. “People often tell us that the first time they take our food home, it’s because they want to get a delicious meal on the table quickly, but then they keep coming back. Additionally, we have many customers who tell us our sauces remind them of what their Nonna (grandmother) used to make. That’s a huge compliment.”
Equally popular is Parma Ravioli’s lunch counter which offers generous portions at reasonable prices. From pasta to focaccia-style pizza to salads to fan favourites such as the chicken parmigiana sandwich, meatball sandwich and new mortadella melt sandwich, there’s something for everyone.
“When we opened our current location almost 25 years ago our mission was to offer foods that have uncompromising flavour as well as being convenient and reliable. The business is continually evolving in response to significant trends. “We pay close attention to what the public is looking for,” says Richard. “We have always avoided preservatives and additives. Now we are pleased to be able to offer whole wheat, vegan, spelt and gluten-free pastas, as well as vegan-friendly sauces to complement our meat and vegetarian options,” says Richard.
