Wellington West is home to some of the finest independent retailers in the city, and we wanted to celebrate a few of them here with a series of videos that tell their story as small business owners and as important members of our community.

Hintonburg Kids

After 15 years of being known as The Extraordinary Baby Shoppe, this Hintonburg staple is re-branding as Hintonburg Kids to better suit the community. Owner Susie Pearson has expanded the business to cater to all kids from birth, into their preteen years.

Oresta Apothecary

This natural skin care, specialty shop is located in a beautiful, 100 year old building in Hintonburg. Inside Oresta, the original wood work and shelving from the building’s early days as an apothecary have been preserved by the current owners who carry on the building’s legacy as a place of healing and repair.

World of Maps

Still going strong after 25 years in business on Wellington West, the team behind World of Maps have developed a personal connection to their local business community, and take pride in seeing their fellow small business owners grow and thrive along side them.
