WHAT IS THE WELLINGTON WEST BIA?
We are the businesses of Wellington West! With our volunteer board of business leaders, property owners and our small staff, we work to build a community around a thriving commercial mainstreet district to facilitate the conditions for businesses to succeed and give back to our neighbours.
WHO IS A MEMBER?
If you operate a business and/or own a commercial property in Hintonburg or Wellington Village, you’re automatically a member of Wellington West Business Improvement Area!
What We Do
Our Board makes up the Marketing and Placemaking Committee who take time to plan and execute projects.
Marketing
We brand the area by carrying out promotional campaigns both online and in the neighbourhood and organize and sponsor events.
Advocacy
We advocate for our area by working with the City of Ottawa and the community regarding policy, permits, crime, construction, research, training, and more.
Placemaking
We look after planters, street furniture, street banners, and other hardware. We also offer graffiti removal and work with the City on maintenance issues.
Join in on a Placemaking or Marketing meeting and get in on what we’re planning.
