Welli West GIVE donation to Daybreak Housing
By BIA Admin on Nov 21, 2018 in Uncategorized.
Continuing our season of giving, the Wellington West BIA are raising funds for Daybreak Housing on Piccadilly Avenue until December 6th.

Jacquie Dillon, Resident Support Worker at Daybreak Housing
Located in a former convent on Piccadilly Ave., the Wellington West chapter of Daybreak has been in operation for over 20 years. They provide housing for women living on the fringes of society, many of their residents are suffering from severe mental illness, and addiction. The staff of just four employees at Daybreak manage over 40 full time residents living on site.
The women of Daybreak are in need of a new chest freezer, as their current unit is on its last legs and does not provide enough storage space for so many people to manage their food. At the resident’s request, we will be donating a brand new freezer to Daybreak this December.
We are inviting the community to take part by making small donations when possible. You will find donation jars with Wellington West labels at high traffics locations throughout the community. Please keep an eye out for these jars during your shopping trips, and help us GIVE back to the community.
