Pay it Forward for women in need
The boutiques of Wellington Village have come together to launch another year of their Pay it Forward campaign. Pay it Forward is an innovative program that allows shoppers and the participating shops to spread holiday cheer to women in need at the Caldwell Family Centre, OCISO and Cornerstone Housing for Women.
We put together a quick video with Bridget Remai and Christina Ballhorn of Flock Boutique, to tell you all about the campaign and how you can participate. It’s fun and really easy!
Here are the steps:
- Pick up a tote bag this week at the following participating shops: Bloomfields Flowers, [Clothes] Muriel Dombret, Flock Boutique, JV Studios, Kindred Shop & Studio, Thyme & Again, or Victoire
- Fill your bag at home. Think gently used items such as: winter coats, boots, scarves, touques, mittens, toiletries etc. that you could donate to neighbours in need.

The ladies at Cornerstone are in need of:Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash, Deodorant & Lip Balm, $10 Gift Cards for Tim Horton’s, Giant Tiger, etc., Hats, Mitts, Gloves, Scarves, Socks, Face Cream, Hand Cream, Small Warm, Blankets, New PJs, Travel Mugs, Chocolate, Candy, Cookies!, Nail Polish, Notebooks & Journals, Picture Frames, Holiday Ornaments

The Families at the Caldwell Centre are in need of:Baby Food, Baby Hats and Mitts, Hats, Scarves and Waterproof Gloves for kids & teens, Socks & Gloves for Senior Men, Tampons, Laundry Detergent, Shampoo, Soap and other personal care items, Warm Clothing (new or gently used) for Men, Women & Children

- Head to Wellington West and collect even more items. Between Nov 23rd – Dec 1st, visit each participating business, who will add more to your bag. When you’re done shopping, leave your bag at any of the shops by December 1st and they’ll donate it for you!
