#WelliWander with Mayor Jim Watson
As the City’s longest-serving Mayor and a huge supporter of local business, Mayor Watson is often seen out and about all over Ottawa and the surrounding area. We talked to His Worship about just a few of the places he loves to drop in when he’s on a #WelliWander in Hintonburg and Wellington Village:
Wellington Barbershop
As one of the oldest barbershops in Ottawa, I often drop-by to get one of my regular haircuts!
Suzy Q Doughnuts
Suzy Q satisfies my sweet tooth with their scrumptious sweet and savoury treats every time!
The Merry Dairy
If you haven’t yet seen their ice cream trucks around Ottawa, make sure you visit them at their store in Hintonburg. Their many flavours and options mean that everyone can always enjoy a cold treat – even in the winter!
Parkdale Market
There are plenty of options to choose from at long-standing Parkdale Market. This farmer’s market has excellent local produce and goods – a great way to support local farmers!
Bridgehead
The Bridgehead locations on Wellington West have been a great café option for many looking for tasty coffee (or tea, if you’re like me!) and baked goods!
Parma Ravioli
As someone who enjoys Italian food, I always find something delicious at this local pastificio!
John’s Family Diner
John’s has long been a staple restaurant – serving me many times over the years my favourite meal: breakfast!
