WelliWednesday Details:

  • Date: Wednesday July 20th, 2022 from 5:00pm-9:00pm
  • Location: Parkdale Park, 366 Parkdale Avenue – Pat MacLeod Community Stage
  • Who: Local musicians from the neighbourhood, next week’s lineup includes Hintonburg star Garrett Warner at 5:30pm and up-and-coming duo Devon & Jimmy representing WWBIA at 7:00pm

The next WelliWednesday lineup on Wednesday, July 27th includes…

7:00pm – Devon & Jimmy

Devon is a lover of music. He sang enthusiastically (but not well!) from a young age, and has steadily improved his craft through lessons and performance. He is always involved in music on some level, whether it be casually playing with friends and on a stage or managing sound. If you’ve frequented our WelliWednesdays or WelliWOW events, you’ve most certainly seen Devon in action behind the sound board making magic happen!

Jimmy is a regular at The Lafayette as a solo performer and with other musicians. He loves to host the community, bringing people into chaotic jam sessions after shows. He is always excited to play music, whether it’s prepared or off the cuff. He’s dedicated to crafting songs and performances that combine emotion with technical precision.

5:30pm – Garrett Warner

With “scene stealing guitar playing” (Exclaim, 2020), Hintonburg’s Garrett Warner is a highly versatile guitarist, composer, and educator. Since arriving on the scene, Garrett has made a name for himself as a sideman and bandleader alike. He was fortunate enough to study under Roddy Ellias at Carleton University, where he earned a Bachelor of Music degree with honours in composition and guitar performance. He maintains an active performing schedule, including regular appearances at internationally renowned festivals such as RBC Bluesfest, TD Ottawa Jazz Festival, Sighisoara Blues Festival, and the Montreal International Jazz Festival. Garrett has had the pleasure of collaborating with artists such Blakdenim, Angelique Francis, Side-Eye & Grace, Tiny Cars, Mike Cassells, and most notably a collaboration with Daryll “DMC” McDaniels of Run DMC.
