7:00pm – Robin Guy & Scott Richardson
Robin Guy and Scott Richardson began performing together at Ottawa’s Gladstone Theatre in a series of musical shows produced by Bear & Company; paying tribute to the songs of Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell, Gordon Lightfoot, and Jacques Brel. They share a deep love of folk music, both traditional and contemporary. Their sound features warm duo vocal harmonies, backed by Scott’s acoustic guitar.
Robin is a theatre artist and the driving force behind Three Sisters Theatre Company. She was nominated by Prix Rideau Awards for Outstanding Female Performance for her role as Marie Antoinette in The Revolutionists, and was nominated by the Capital Critics Circle for her work in Miss Shakespeare and Creation of the World. Scott is a freelance piano accompanist and is the longtime director of the choirs Atlantic Voices and Musica Viva Singers. Robin and Scott recently collaborated on a new production at The Gladstone called No-Show: Songs from Lost Gigs, a theatrical music show featuring songs from cancelled concerts they had tickets to see in the early months of the pandemic.
5:30pm – Robb Kerr
Robb’s honest approach and eclectic lyric writing is refreshing to hear. With captivating melodies and long held gravelly notes, you will find yourself not just hearing what he’s doing, but feeling it from the inside out.
Robb has performed on the Pat McLeod stage in previous WelliWednesday years and is an occasional performer at O’Connell’s Irish Pub a few blocks west of the BIA.
