Experience talented artists of various ages and musical styles who live, work and play in our neighbourhood. Each WelliWednesday coincides with the Parkdale Night Market, so stop and shop the Night Market before cozying up on a blanket with loved ones to enjoy incredible local talent.

WHEN: Wednesdays (May-August) from 5:00 – 9:00 pm.

WHERE: Pat MacLeod Community Stage- Parkdale Park, 366 Parkdale Avenue.

Doug Stewart has been playing guitar for over 25 years. As a fourteen year old boy, he was inspired by the music of Jimmy Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Later, his style gravitated to the music of John Fogerty, John Mayer and The Black Keys.

Doug has experience playing in several bands and as a solo artist. More recently, he has become his young son’s birthday party entertainment as a singing and guitar playing banana. “Banaman….Bamanaman discount party Banaman. He’ll play a crowd of any size, his only fear is fruit flies. Watch out! Here comes Banaman.”

He believes music to be a communication tool and enjoys teaching adults and children alike. Doug loves to get out and play as much as he can contributing to a few local charities and in his hometown of Deep River, ON.

“I have lived on Parkdale for the last 8 years and absolutely love this area. We have raised our young son in the neighbourhood and have made so many great friends over the years. I played in the park last year and am so excited you would have me back.”

Lead singer for The Hammerheads, Destiny, and The Leaning Lights as well as a recording artist, Iyono Ede has a stage presence like no other! She has performed at events such as Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend, Bluesfest, WestFest, and the winter games at Lake Louise. On occasion, she dips her toe in the acting realm and garnered herself the best actress in a comedy award. Mother, songstress, and eternal student at the school of life, Iyono is sure to get your toes tapping.
