Local bakeries raising funds for Assembly of Seven Generations
Vegan treat connoisseurs at Little Jo Berry’s and bread-baking pros at Bread By Us are both raising funds for local non-profit Assembly of Seven Generations (A7G) on July 1st!
Assembly of Seven Generations (A7G) is an Indigenous owned and youth-led non-profit organization. Founded in 2014, A7G focuses on cultural support and empowerment programs and policies for Indigenous youth, while being led by traditional knowledge and Elder guidance. The organization became incoperated as a national non-profit in 2015 and its work continues to expand as its network and capacities grow alongside the needs and aspirations of Indigenous youth within our community.
Little Jo Berry’s will be open on July 1st from 11:00am-5:00pm and donating all sales from baked goods and coffee to A7G. If you’re shopping online and wanting home delivery that day, they’ve added an extra donation option to their online checkout to contribute.
Bread By Us has been running their fundraiser for A7G, with the final date being July 1st. You can either add a donation to your online order or in-person at the shop! They’re open 9:00am-5:00pm July 1st and 50% of all in-store sales are being donated to A7G.
