WOW2: Dr. Jazz Meets the Man On Stilts
Now that’s RAISING A CHEER in Hintonburg!
If you aren’t already in the know: WWBIA’s WelliWOW series —presented in collaboration with the Friends of the Parkdale Market, Ottawa Markets, and MASC— took over Somerset Square this past Sunday morning with the most unusual jazz trio you’ve ever seen.
WOW2 Highlights:
- Date: Sunday May 29, 2022 7:30-10:30 a.m.
- Location: Somerset Square in Hintonburg
- Occasion: Community cheering station for Ottawa Marathon and half Marathon
WOW2 Performers:
This time around, WelliWOW featured the talents of two local acts: The (literally) larger than life personality of MASC Artist, the Brazilian stilt-walker and percussionist Luciano Porto playing along with the smooth stylings of Dave “Dr. Jazz” Renaud‘s jazz duo featuring Dave Renaud on saxophone and clarinet with Tom MacMahon on baliset (his custom 12-string bass/guitar hybrid). The ensemble amped up rhythm and smiles at the Hintonburg Community Association Race Weekend Cheering Station. Check out the highlight reel from Sunday’s events in the photo gallery below!
