Calling all future animators! MASC multi-media artist Tina Le Moine and Hintonburg’s Brenda Dunn (artinjest) are going to help you create and play with cutouts, sketches, and doodles to bring an animation to life for a future WelliWOW pop-up performance! The workshop begins at 12:30pm on Hamilton Avenue North under the bright orange tents. Details to come about when your spectacular works will be revealed at WelliWOW.
About our partner: MASC
“We bring the arts to schools and communities.”
MASC (Multicultural Arts for Schools and Communities) is an Ottawa-based community arts organization that brings the arts and culture alive for over 210,000 children, youth, and seniors each year.
MASC represents a roster of 138 professional artists of diverse backgrounds, who annually offer more than 1800 workshops, 500 performances and 100 in-depth artist-in-residence programs. Their artists identify with a wide range of diverse communities and offer programming in all artistic disciplines, including music, dance, drama, literary arts, media and visual arts.
“As a Wellington West local, I always knew the neighbourhood had a strong creative pulse, but I was surprised to learn just how many MASC artists also live and work here! For that reason, it made perfect sense for MASC to partner with the Wellington West BIA and wow our neighbours with all the fun, artistic, and inspiring programs we have to offer.”
MASC Communications Director, Jessica Ruano
